A matching pair of vintage handcrafted wooden goblets by David Auld, made in Haiti. Each goblet has a smoothly turned pedestal form with a rounded cup, slender stem, broad foot, and rich natural brown grain. Their warm organic shape makes them beautiful examples of mid-century Haitian woodcraft. The original label on the base reads: “Guaranteed Wash Proof / Original by DAVID AULD / Handcrafted in Haiti.” David Auld established a woodcarving workshop in Haiti during the 1960s and became known for sculptural household pieces that highlighted locally available woods and their natural grain. ***Please note, I the seller am not sure of their washproof-ness! This is an old, original label! Condition: Excellent vintage condition, probably a displayed item and unused.
