A charming and rare antique miniature Norwegian wooden trinket box featuring colorful hand-painted rosemaling, a traditional Norwegian folk-art painting style. The dark exterior is decorated with floral motifs, while opening the lid reveals another sweet hand-painted floral design against a cream-colored interior. Tiny enough to fit in the palm of your hand, this miniature chest features a drop handle and intact latch, along with a hinged lid. Its petite size suggests it may have originally been used as a stamp box or small trinket box.
